collecting hearts

As a child, I used to love reading a book called Oh My Baby, Little One about a baby bird who is reluctant to go to school and leave his mother. She promises her baby that nothing in the world can separate him from her love, it will follow him wherever he is until he comes home. The illustrations are beautiful, with hearts hidden on every page. Over the years, my mom and I have kept our own collection of hearts—found in nature, at the grocery store, or even in a parking lot. It’s a good reminder that God’s love follows us wherever we go until we can be with him in heaven.

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
